This series consists of four DVDs containing video recordings of all of the sessions for the Historical Society’s annual History Conference held May 3-4, 2013. Also includes a DVD recording of the 1952 Pierre Flood film shown during the luncheon on May 3rd.
The 2013 History Conference, “Rivers Run Through It: South Dakota’s Rivers and Streams and the Flow of History,” was organized by the Archaeological Research Center, and held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rapid City.
This collection consists of black and white photographic prints and negatives taken by staff in the Publicity Division of the Department of Highways to promote tourist attractions and activities in South Dakota. There are 18 boxes of 3.5” X 3.5” B&W photographs, and 1 box of negatives. Also included is 1 box of various sized photos and negatives.
This series contains 75,791 digital photographs taken by the State Photographer (Chad Coppess) and other Tourism staff members at various South Dakota events and locations from 2001 to 2010.
This collection includes 203 black and white publicity photographs taken by the Tourism Office to promote South Dakota places and activities. Topics include: hunting, snowmobiling, Black Hills scenery, water skiing, the Badlands, camping, bison, ice fishing, fishing, Czech Days, rodeos, and skiing.
