This record group contains records created and maintained by the South Dakota Department of Education and Cultural Affairs and includes meeting minutes, photographs, publications, correspondence, audio recordings of speeches and presentations, videotape recordings, grant files, school building specifications, budgets and other financial reports, architectural drawings of historic buildings, administrative subject files, posters, and annual reports.

This series consists of digital video recordings of all of the sessions for the Historical Society’s annual History Conference held April 4-5th, 2014. The 2014 History Conference, “A South Dakota Education: The History of Higher Learning in the State,” was organized by the State Archives, and held at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Pierre. Video recordings were made by Patrick Callahan of Oahe TV.

University A-95 Grants for 1981 Fiscal Year, 1980 - 1981
This series contains applications for grants to provide improvements to various universities within the states. The A-95 Clearing House system allowed for local governments to comment on projects requesting grants before the federal government made a decision on granting funds.
