Administrative and Historical Records, 1887 - 2000
This series contains administrative records from 1892-1994, and a collection of stories and newspaper articles gathered by the State Training School Historical Committee. Also included are photographs and slides depicting campus and student life from 1887-1997, scrapbooks, record volumes, and architectural drawings.
Documentation of Buildings, 1992
This series contains documentation generated for the recordation of the Jayne, Adams, and Howard buildings at the Human Services Center. These buildings were scheduled for razing under HB 1101 (1992 Session Laws, Chapter 193). Documentation includes 104 color slides, 21 architectural drawings (24" x 36"), 100 black and white negatives with contact prints (4" x 5"), an index to the photographs, and historical narratives about the buildings.
Documentation of Buildings, 1993 - 1994
This series consists of records documenting certain buildings at the Human Services Center which were scheduled for razing under HB 1101 (1992 Session Laws, Chapter 193). It includes photographs, architectural drawings, slides, feasibility reports and narrative histories.
Fiksdal Apartment House Photos, 1899
This series contains 12 black and white photographs (2 copies each) of the Fiksdal Apartment House in Webster, South Dakota. These photos were acquired by Historic Preservation Office in February 1994 while researching the property for a national register nomination. The photos were probably taken in 1899.

This series contains electronic copies of the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) documentation of the cabins at Cedar Pass in the Badlands National Park. Documentation includes photographs, drawings, written history, and descriptions. Photographs are saved as TIFF files, descriptions and written history as PDF files, and drawings as PDF files and CAD drawings.

Mentor Graham House Clean-up, 2000 - 2000
This series consists of six photographs taking during the summer of 2000 at the Mentor Graham House in Blunt, South Dakota. The Mentor Graham House was damaged by flooding the previous spring, and a special Historic Preservation Day was organized to try to repair the damage.

National Register Application - Hand Co. Courthouse and Jail, 1993
This series contains the National Register application for the Hand County courthouse and jail, submitted by the Hand County Auditor to the Historic Preservation Office in 1993. The form includes descriptions of the structures, historic background information, a statement of significance, and black and white photographs documenting important features of the structures.
Photographs - Hot Springs Historic District, 1976 - 2004
This series contains black and white photographs documenting historic buildings in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The photographs were taken by various contractors and submitted to the Historic Preservation Office as part of architectural surveys in Hot Springs. Most of the buildings in the photographs are identified, and many photos also include the name of the photographer and date taken.

This series contains five black and white photographs of a log house located at the H-O Ranch in Meade County, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The images include four interior views and one exterior view of the building, and were sent to the State Museum for possible inclusion in an exhibit.
