This series contains applicant affidavits to purchase liquor for medicinal purposes and druggists’ reports of intoxicating liquor on hand filed with the Lawrence County Clerk of Courts between 1890 and 1893. Applications record the date of purchase, the type and quantity of liquor, the stated medical condition for which the liquor was purchased, the applicant’s name, and the name of the pharmacist.

This series consists of audit reports for state agencies, counties, municipalities, and school districts. Audit reports contain financial statements concerning receipts and expenditures; commentary on recordkeeping practices; and suggestions for improving those procedures.

This series contains three microfilm rolls containing burial records collected by the Deadwood Cemetery Association dating from the year 1878 as well as Lawrence County Board of County Commissioners meeting minutes dating from the year 1877. Information contained in the burial records include management and programs of the Deadwood Cemetery Association as well as the deceased person’s name, date of death, age, cause of death, residence, and the location of the grave.
