Scope and Contents This series contains applicant affidavits to purchase liquor for medicinal purposes and druggists’ reports of intoxicating liquor on hand filed with the Lawrence County Clerk of Courts between 1890 and 1893. Applications record the date of purchase, the type and quantity of liquor, the stated medical condition for which the liquor was purchased, the applicant’s name, and the name of the pharmacist.
